Get to know Malia Love!
Malia was raised in a rich musical household. Both her parents were musicians. Malia began singing at an early age in a Gospel Choir. Her talents excelled beyond anyone’s expectations. As a young girl she was invited to sing with Gospel Star Peter Regis.
Raised in the islands of the Caribbean, Malia began her career singing in the Soca genre – where she achieved great success and sang with Traffic International and Alison Hinds. Malia became a Soca star in her own right, leaving a lasting mark in that genre with several hits and awards. Her handle at that time was Shayne Bailey.
Malia found her passion and stride in R&B and Soul music. She appeared on stage with the great Percy Sledge “ When a Man Loves a Woman”, Freddie Jackson and has opened for the Temptations.
Her powerful vocals and incredible dynamic range, enables her to masterfully cover some of the greatest artists of our time including: Aretha Franklin; Amy Winehouse; Chaka Khan and Whitney Houston to mention a few.
Malia Love has a portfolio of original music that reflects her sincere passion for inclusivity and human rights. She is currently involved in the process of recording this project that’s dear to her heart.
